The object of #RICEHUNT will be for contestants to find ten (10) items on a scavenger hunt list, provided by the #RICEHUNT sponsors, within a limited time frame.

An item will be considered "found" when it is photographed alongside a #RICEHUNT scavenger card provided by the #RICEHUNT sponsors and Tweeted to the contestant's Twitter account with the #RICEHUNT and #RICEFEST hashtags.

The winner of #RICEHUNT will be determined by the first contestant to return to the #RICEHUNT booth with proof of having found all ten (10) items on the scavenger hunt list.

OFFICIAL RULES
1. To enter, please visit www.twtvite.com/ricehunters and register as attending #RICEHUNT.
2. Entries will no longer be accepted after 11:59:59PM (HST) September 10th, 2010.
3. All contestants will be required to register at the the #RICEHUNT booth between 12:00PM - 12:30PM, September 11th, 2010 and provide a valid driver's license (or other identification) to verify identity and age. The #RICEHUNT booth will be in the space as the Admissions booth. Be aware that Rice Fest opens to the public at 12:00PM.
4. All contestants will be required to provide their own means of photography and Tweeting to their Twitter accounts during #RICEHUNT. Sponsors will not be responsible for providing access to photography, Twitter, or the Internet.
5. Upon registering at the #RICEHUNT booth, contestants will each receive a scavenger list of the ten (10) items to be found, along with a #RICEHUNT scavenger card.
6. Contestants must wait for the judges to signal the start of the scavenger hunt before leaving the #RICEHUNT booth area.
7. Once the judges have determined that enough contestants have registered, the judges will signal for the #RICEHUNT to begin.

9. The winner of #RICEHUNT will be determined by the first contestant to return to the #RICEHUNT booth with proof of having found all ten (10) items on the scavenger hunt list.
10. Tweeted photos will then be reviewed #RICEHUNT judges, who will then determine if the contestant is the winner.
11. By participating, entrants agree to these official rules, the terms & conditions of #RICEHUNT, and the final decisions of the judges.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. As of September 11, 2010, all contest participants must be 18 years of age.
2. A valid driver’s license (or other identification) is required to verify participant & age.
3. By participating in #RICEHUNT, each participant agrees to the official rules and terms & conditions of the contest.
4. All participants must pay the Rice Fest entry fee of $1.00 in order to enter Rice Fest and participate in #RICEHUNT.
5. All participants must have registered at www.twtvite.com/ricehunters in order to participate.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISKS AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY. Each contestant agrees that he/she is in a good physical health to enter a scavenger hunt that involves physical activity and physical exertion. Contestants represent that he/she has no knowledge of any valid medical reasons why he/she should not enter the contest.

Contestants acknowledge that there are risks of personal injury, illness, and possible loss of life, and risks of damage to or loss of personal property, which may result from participating in this contest. Contestants voluntarily enter “#RICEHUNT” and assumes all of these risks.

By entering the contest, the participant agrees that the sponsors and all of the agencies, companies & corporations involved and their respective directors, officers, employees, and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest shall not be held responsible for any negligence, claims, liability, injury or property loss or other damages of winning arising from, or in connection with the prizes or participation in this promotional event. The contestant releases and indemnifies the Sponsor and individuals involved from liability for injuries or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this contest or the receipt or use of any prize. In no event will the Sponsor or individuals involved in the Rice Fest be held liable to a contestant for acts related to the Contest or that contestant’s participation in the contest.

2. DISCLAIMER. By participating, entrants agree to these official rules, terms and conditions, and the final decisions of the judges. All decisions regarding qualifications, disqualification of contestant(s) or winner(s) shall be subject to the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Sponsors are not held responsible for any contest disruptions involving network, Internet, computer malfunctions and/or other errors. You can be disqualified for any reason at any time.

3. USE OF ENTRANT’S NAME, LIKENESS, ETC. Entry into this contest constitutes permission to identify you as a contestant in the scavenger hunt contest. Contestants agree to the use of their name, photo, video, and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Tweets relating to Rice Fest and Twitpics relating to Rice Fest, @UserName and real identity may be republished by anyone, including Rice Fest for promotional and marketing purposes in a variety of media.

4. MISCELLANEOUS. The Sponsor reserves the right to change the official rules at any time, under its sole discretion, and to cancel the contest or any entrant’s participation in the contest.
