What's happening in YOUR neighborhood? Starting at 5 p.m., that's the question staff members will be asking attendees during Thursday night's "Coffee & Community" event at the Naples Daily News.

The informal meet-and-greet, the fifth in a monthly series, aims to introduce readers and non-readers alike to the multiple ways they can connect, interact and engage with the journalists and content of the Daily News.

This will be the first "Coffee & Community" event to be held at the Naples Daily News. Future events are planned at other locations around Naples

"Coffee & Community" participants will find free coffee, snacks and the chance to meet Daily News journalists and learn how they can get their content into the pages of the newspaper and get their stuff online.

Southwest Florida residents will also get the chance to connect - one-on-one - with the dozens of journalists and staff members who produce the news every day. Attendees can also use the Twitter hashtag #ndncoffee to follow the action on the web or their mobile phones.

The event runs from 5-7 p.m. in the Community Room of the new Naples Daily News Building on Immokalee Road. The Daily News building is located just behind the corner of Immokalee Road and U.S. 41 in North Naples. Bring your mobile phones and plenty of questions!
