It’s easy enough to start building applications with ASP.NET MVC2, just “File| New Project”. But what are the next steps? Why does MS layout the project structure like they do? Is there a better way? What exactly goes in the “Models” folder? Do JavaScript files need to be separate from “Content”?

For this first meet up, we will discuss what every developer needs to know before diving head first into building an MVC Web site. We will explore best practices for project layout, routing concerns and site configuration. We will put in place all the important pieces that seem to be missing from most quick start tutorials. Our aim is to lay a solid foundation for building real world ASP.NET MVC Web applications, not just demo sites.
