Make My Day Monday is teaming up with The Norm Van Lier Scholarship Fund to spread awareness about their cause & have a great night raising money with close friends at Chicago hot spot Public House!
A 100% tax deductible, suggested minimum donation of $20 can be made at the door, which goes to The Norm Van Lier Scholarship Fund and includes 2 Premium cocktails and exclusive specials all evening!
There will also exciting raffles through the night... HINT: think signed memorabilia of Chicago athletes, Tickets & More! Seriously, don't miss out!
We are also Thankful for our wonderful Host Committee their support of MMDM and The Norm Van Lier Scholarship Fund! (we'll be announcing them shortly!)
The mission of the Norm Van Lier Scholarship Fund is to reflect the values of its namesake with an emphasis on education, truth, courage, hard work, teamwork, inclusion of and opportunity for all, the importance of maintaining one's positive attitude, and belief in one's abilities to accomplish anything in life, no matter what the past circumstance.
The Fund selects worthy students exclusively from the West Side and South Side neighborhoods of Chicago and assist them financially and in other ways to be able to continue their education. To be considered, students must have demonstrated a desire to succeed, despite personal or familial issues.
MMDM is excited to start off the second year of fundraising events as well as building awareness of local charies and how much a random act of kindness (MMDM) can lift someones spirit and make a Monday (and everyday) matter!
The idea of “Make My Day Mondays” or “MMDM” is every Monday to make an effort to help someone in need.
